BuySellorHold? winnings!
My daughter Hannah loved it - so much so that we spent a couple of hours playing the game yesterday afternoon and totally ignored her essay. Her degree was in Event Management with Business, so has a business background, but has no idea about the Stock Market, but found the game good fun and very interesting. She liked the two sets of cards which replicated life's ups and downs as well as the market's and the fact that there is only the one gemstone, which reflects the fact that many events affect everybody and it's the individual's decision as to how you respond to them. I think that at times she would have liked to take profits on part holdings and also to add to existing holdings, which are obviously features of the Advanced game, along with takeover bids etc but I think that the Beginners Game is the place to start, particularly with the 14-18 age group. She felt that certain key concepts like diversification, risk and reward and retaining a cash cushion came out through the game, so that worked well.
